The team engineers SDKs and other client-side libraries that merchant developers integrate with to access PayPal's ad delivery network.
The team also develops REST and GraphQL APIs that deliver contextual messaging for PayPal Credit financing offers on merchant sites in the form of lightweight text ads, responsive banners and PayPal Smart Payment Buttons. These SDKs and APIs are used by thousands of merchants, millions of times a day across the world.
Besides writing scalable and maintainable code, you will be challenged with building products that have an exceptional user and developer experience.
Ability to debug, diagnose and resolve complex JavaScript bugs throughout the stack
You will need to understand our challenges & opportunities and apply them to innovative software solutions
Working in a collaborative environment
Highly proficient with vanilla ES6+ Functional and Object Oriented JavaScript
Node.JS and express application design and development
React or other front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular, Vue)
Experience with consuming and designing REST and GraphQL APIs
Experience with Git source control and effective branching and release management practices
Previous experience within the adtech or fintech sector(s) a plus
Familiarity with Webpack and other build and packaging systems
Strong automated unit and functional test suite experience
Familiarity with analytic instrumentation, querying datasets using Hive/Hadoop, Teradata, BigQuery, Kibana and/or Splunk is a plus
Continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins
Experience with Java
